Moss is a gentle green tortoise, slow, quiet, and wonderfully thoughtful. He doesn't say much, but when he does, it's worth listening to. For a long while he carried a quiet ache of not knowing where he fit, trying on the sunflower beds and the open sky before he found his spot beneath the old weeping willow, where the roots are old and the creek sings softly.
His slowness is never a flaw. In a garden that's always rushing, Moss is the one who arrives right on time, by his own clock.
