Grandma Bea is the heart of Cottage Creek Garden, silver hair in a bun, round glasses, rosy cheeks, and a watering can always close by. She keeps the garden, and she keeps the children, too.
She teaches without ever lecturing, kneeling down in the dirt to share her own biggest mistakes so the little ones never feel alone in theirs. "Take care of the small things," she says, "and the garden takes care of the rest."
